Peachy Keen Halloween Card Swap Due 10/1 (Closed and Receiving)

Okay, how about a Halloween card swap to get things going here on the Peachy Keen Connection?  Halloween is my favorite holiday, and there are so many wonderful Peachy Keen Halloween stamp sets to choose from, so if you'd love to spend the next few months chatting and sharing, take a spot, pull up a chair, and join the fun!!! 


Here are the details!

For this round - Peachy Keen Halloween - swappers are asked to create full-sized cards with a Halloween theme. 

Swappers can  choose to use their favorite Halloween color combinations, their favorite unique fold, embellishments...  WHATEVER!!   The options/ideas really are limitless on this theme.

These are due in my hands on or before October 1, 2011.

Steps to take in this Peachy Keen Halloween Card Swap:

Step One
Sign up – take a spot today! (or two or three, but each spot needs to be a different card design). This is a 5 + 1 Swap, which means you send 6 cards, to Lorie (The ThINKin' Spot) – that’s me.  I get to keep one for being a fun hostess, and you get 5 back. You will not get one of your own cards, so be sure to make an extra for yourself.

Step Two
Germinate an idea for your card. To germinate is defined as to sprout; bud; develop.  The only vendor requirement is that you use your favorite Peachy Keen Halloween stamps and, please use at least two layers of quality cardstock.

Step Three
Expand your idea by adding at least one embellishment.

Step Four
Once your cards are mature (finished) place them in a ziplock bag (to protect them as they travel to my house through sun snow, freezing rain, sleet, and hail). Include your real name,  your Peachy Keen Connection  username, and the name of the swap for identification purposes.

Step Five
Please mail your cards to me along with a self-addressed stamped envelope (with enough postage on it to mail cards back to you… along with a couple of extra postage stamps in case more postage is needed.  No metered postage on return enveloped, as metered postage is only good for the day it's printed. ( Any unused stamps for return postage will be returned to you.) In return, I will mail to you five unique PEACHY KEEN HALLOWEEN cards within a reasonable amount of time at the conclusion of this swap.  (I will swap cards out within two days of receiving all of them.)

We understand that life happens sometimes, so if for some reason you need to bow out of this swap gracefully, it won't be a problem at all.  Just let me know that you won't be able to fulfill the requirements for this swap, but hopefully you can stick around and chat/share with us.

Hey Lorie!  Things are super crazy for me here right now (that's an understatement).  I have the first 6 ready to go almost and then gotta do the second batch. I am hoping to get them done by Saturday and in the mail to you since I am volunteering all next week.  Just curious, aprox. how much in postage is necessary for 10 cards to be mailed back?

Hi Lisa!

I'm not exactly sure, but I'm guessing if you send first class, it would be somewhere between $3 and $4.  I just have the postmaster weigh the outgoing package and buy stamps for the same amount for the return envelope.  Then, the extra stamps that you include in the package can take up any slack if needed, and if I don't need them, I'll return them to you.  You are such a busy, busy lady, and I'm so glad you could find time to swap with us!!!  I love ya, my friend!!!

I sent my cards this morning and before I knew what was happening, the post lady added postage to my return box. She knew it wouldn't be returned for several weeks, but she said since it is a priority box it would be ok. I included additional postage just in case. Can't wait to receive my package. I just hope my cards live up to everyone elses' cards.
